| Movie Recommendation:
Before Sunrise (1995)
Starring: Ethan Hawke Julie Delpy
Synopsis: While traveling through Europe on a train, a twentysomething American male meets a young French woman. It's his last day before returning to the US, but the two impulsively agree to spend his few remaining hours together.
Set in the Austrian city of Vienna, Before Sunrise is a talking film. It centers around the dialogue (written intelligently, naturally, and beautifully by the director) of life and love between the two protagonists portrayed flawlessly by Hawke and Delpy. Moreover, it's a test of your faith in love. Along with Roman Holiday (1953), Before Sunrise ranks as my favorite and the most romantic film to date. **** (out of ****)
Note: If after you watch this film and enjoy/love it as much as I do, be sure not miss it's sequel Before Sunset (2004) coming soon to select theaters on July 2, 2004. |
